Banks’s work is deeply informed by the power of story, both the stories we receive and those we create. Possibly because of this, she’s a great listener, as well as a well-received writer.
As a writer, Banks comes to you with a long career in academic, expository, and persuasive writing. And here’s a fun fact: her performance packages and show scripts have been performed at international barbershop competitions in front of audiences of up to 10,000 people.

Banks’s coaching presence and empathy for her clients’ journeys are strongly rooted in personal experience, and her memoir/narrative nonfiction has been featured on/in Today.com, Grown and Flown, Her View From Home, Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, and www.ourdistressedbabies.com. Her first published essay, “The Loveliness of Ladybugs”, was named one of Brain, Child Magazine’s 10 favorite essays of 2015.
